Hi. I am only making one 3 layer wedding cake. Do I need to buy 3 cake pans? Or do I just let the batter sit while baking a single pan. Surely bakers do t have 3 of each pan if they want to bake a 3 tiered cake.

Hi Sarah. Sorry for the late reply. Believe it or not some bakers do use three pans to make individual layers for a wedding cake tier. I am one of them. However you can also do like you suggested and bake one layer at a time in usinf one single pan. It takes longer obviously but unless you are making wedding cakes regularly and have a large oven that is a fine way to do it.
