Hi I am not professional cake baking but my sister asked me to do cake for her engagement party. I am going to do 14" dummy cake for the base, a 12" real cake and a 6" dummy cake on top of that. My question is how soon can I cover with fondant. Can I do it two days before the wedding? Thank you

Covering your dummy cakes and real cakes with fondant by: Lorelie
Yes Rana you can definitely cover your dummy and real cake two days prior to the wedding. I suggest leaving the real cake out of the refrigerator once it is covered so it stays dry. Cover it with plastic wrap and or box it if possible. Then place it in a cool room somewhere out of the way.
