White chocolate buttercream recipe
by Charlene
(Canada)
This may be a silly question but I have tried searching for the white chocolate buttercream recipe....how much and when do I add white chocolate to the
Italian Meringue recipe:)
Sorry you had trouble finding it. I actually don't have a definitive amount of white chocolate that I add to the Italian meringue buttercream. I do it by taste so start by adding 4 ounces and then if you need more add another 4 ounces etc until you reach the desired taste. Next time I make white chocolate buttercream I will have to measure it. LOL. Add the melted chocolate after you are finished mixing the buttercream. Keep stirring as you add it before the chocolate cools down. Once cooled it will start to harden, if that happens your white chocolate buttercream will have little specs of hardened chocolate in it. When that does happen you can still use it as a filling but not as a finishing coat. Happy baking and cake decorating:-)

Grand Marnier flavored Italian Meringue Butter Cream
by Nora
(Corpus Christi)
Greetings from Texas, Lorelie! Thank you for helping me with my daughter’s wedding cake. She has requested that the cake be frosted with Italian Meringue Butter Cream which has been lightly flavored with Grand Marnier. How do I add that flavor to your recipe?
Also, will your recipe be enough to fill the 12",8", and 6" cake?
Hi Nora,
Simply add the Grand Marnier at the end to taste while mixing the finished buttercream. The wedding cake frosting recipe should be plenty for your 12" 8" and 6" cake.
I am so happy to help you with preparing your daughters wedding cake. Congratulations to the bride and groom and the entire family!
Can you post a picture of the finished cake? We would love to see it. And let us know how the recipes turned out for you too. Thanks Nora
