My attempts at Chocolate Cakes are disappointing as I try to duplicate my mother's recipe. The ingredients pretty much line up with those presented here, although I am not as thorough in blending the
ingredients together. Result is that there are two layers of cake, a top layer of chocolate and a clear
cream color layer of almost gelatin consistency. Is
my problem the wrong ingredients or the way I combine them?
