Parchment Lining for 14 inch cake pan
by: Anonymous

I can't find parchment bigger than 12 inches wide. Can it work to overlap parchment in the bottom of the pan or are there resources for large rounds of parchment.

Thanks so much!
Karen

Hi Karen, Yes you can overlap the pieces. I do this all of the time. When I worked at the banquet halls we ordered them precut wholesale, but it was a bulk order and unless you do a lot of wedding cakes I would just use the two half pieces. It doesn't have to be a perfect fit either. If you grease and flout the pans first don't worry about having a perfect fit.

Double the ingredients
by: Anonymous

Hi Lorelie,

When using a cake mix & the size pan is a 12"x3" round you have to use more than one box of cake mix so do you double all the ingredients (eggs, oil, etc)?

Thanks,
Becky
